Gian Varbaro, MD MBA is a physician executive and healthcare leader with a track record of improving patient care, operational efficiency, and clinical outcomes across complex health systems. He has held leadership roles at institutions including Yale-New Haven Hospital, St. Vincent’s Health Services, Jackson North Medical Center, and Bergen New Bridge Medical Center, where he led both clinical and business turnarounds.
He brings a rare combination of clinical depth and operational leadership. Dr. Varbaro graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science from Brown University and received his MD from New York University, completed his residency at UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson, and earned his MBA from Yale School of Management. He is a board-certified internal medicine physician, Associate Professor of Medicine at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, and currently serves as Chief Medical Advisor to Bergen County, NJ.
