Brent Wright
Associate Dean, Rural Health Innovation
Brent is the Associate Dean for Rural Health Innovation at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. As Associate Dean and a faculty member in the Department of Family & Geriatric Medicine he has helped to train over 100 Board-Certified Family Physicians and participate in the procurement of significant grant funding for the university. Currently he is working in the role of Executive Advisor to Kentucky’s Rural Health Transformation Program. Beyond his academic work, Brent is active in community banking in rural environments as well as entrepreneurial efforts ranging from healthcare, finance, and personal mobility. An accomplished drummer and percussionist, Brent was a McDonald’s All-American prior to focusing his career path on medicine.
