Donald Jonas

VP of Social Impact

Don Jonas serves as enterprise Vice President, Social Impact with Advocate Health’s Advocate National Center for Health Equity. Don previously led Atrium Health’s social impact strategy in the Southeast. Prior to joining Atrium Health in 2020, Don served as executive director at Care Ring, an agency providing a variety of health and wellness services to the uninsured. He has also served as executive director of the Novant Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation and SVP for Community Philanthropy at Foundation For The Carolinas. Don received a BA from UNC-Chapel Hill, an MA from Appalachian State University, and a PhD from the University of Kentucky. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Advisors for the Blair College of Health at Queens University of Charlotte, in addition to serving on the Public Health Advisory Board for UNC Charlotte’s Department of Public Health Sciences. Don is also a member of the Health Improvement in North Carolina Advisory Council for Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust, he serves on the board of Mecklenburg County’s largest network of food pantries, Nourish Up, and he is an inaugural member of the Board of Directors of the Atrium Health Floyd-Polk Foundation serving Rome, GA and the surrounding region.
