Growth Officer, Medcurio

Douglas E. Goldstein is a senior executive, innovator, author, and speaker.  For more than 20 years Doug has integrated technology with process improvement to enable clinicians and system leaders to improve patient care and organizational performance. He is Growth Officer of Medcurio, a leader in AI and Automation infrastructure and solutions to improve quality and financial sustainability of health systems. 

As a volunteer, Doug is the lead organizer of ‘Project Revitalize’ which is designed to catalyze more jobs and better health in underserved communities.  Through interactive workshops it connects impact investors with entrepreneurs delivering vital solutions that improve lives in challenged neighborhoods. This initiative has been supported by the Consumer Technology Association.  He supports Reyn Archer, MD in the development of the ‘Neighborhood Health Savings Account’ initiatives (NHSA).  This is a novel financial ‘gainsharing’ system of deploying Medicaid savings back to a community for economic and community development. It can be enabled in state through 1115 Medicaid waiver. Initiatives are underway in Montana, Texas, Georgia, Nebraska and several other states.  The NHSA approach is anticipated to gain additional support in the current administration. 

He has served as Innovation Officer of the Inova Health System – Center for Personalized Health where he developed solutions integrating digital, AI, clinical care, SDoH and genomics partnering with global medical device and life sciences leaders.  Doug developed and managed large-scale intranet platforms to improve clinical, financial, and operational performance for Ascension Health and Bon Secours Health System; and developed an e-care / e-commerce platform with Allina Health that was syndicated to other health systems. He has teamed with David Shulkin, MD, 9th Secretary of the Veterans Administration to accelerate commercialization of novel and proven solutions for the care and management of PTSD, migraines, chronic pain and COVID19.
