Dr. Erica Taylor, MD, MBA is an orthopaedic surgeon, health system executive, and entrepreneur shaping the future of care delivery through strategy, leadership, and innovation. She is a practicing upper extremity surgeon at Duke University, where she also serves as Vice President of Health Equity for Duke Health, Vice Chair of Culture, Engagement, and Impact in the Department of Orthopaedics, and Executive in Residence at the Duke Fuqua School of Business.

Dr. Taylor is the founder and CEO of the Orthopaedic Diversity Leadership Consortium (ODLC), a pioneering network of nearly 400 surgeons, health system executives, and medical technology leaders, connected through their shared mission of advancing health equity, community health, and creating environments of belonging. Through ODLC, she has created leadership networking platforms that foster cross-institutional collaboration and accelerate scalable solutions for healthcare transformation. Flagship initiatives—including the Equity Leadership Index, the Health Equity Action & Leadership (HEAL) Fellowship, and two Cornell-affiliated certificate programs—equip organizations with data-driven insights and innovative models for leadership and system redesign.

Dr. Taylor also launched Dynamize Health, a firm that energizes and equips healthcare organizations to navigate complexity, modernize strategy, and translate mission-driven goals into investment-ready solutions. She serves as Senior Principal Consultant, partnering with health systems, professional societies, and industry leaders to drive innovation in financing, workforce models, and care delivery.

Nationally recognized for her expertise and impact, Dr. Taylor has partnered with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Hospital Association, and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, among others, to advance frameworks that bridge clinical excellence, community health, and business imperatives. She has served on multiple corporate and professional society boards, bringing her unique dual perspective as a clinician and business leader to governance and strategy. Her mentorship has extended across both the clinical and business sectors, amplifying the pipeline of leaders capable of transforming healthcare at scale.
