“Juliya Buettner has been with Children’s Wisconsin for over twelve years in various leadership positions. As a Vice President and Chief of Staff, she is responsible for turning the CEO’s visionary thoughts and ideas into action and providing support on a wide range of complex and sensitive board, executive and administrative initiatives. Juliya is responsible for leading Children’s WI Board Governance, including orchestration of all board/committee meetings, board cultivation/succession planning, education, and engagement. She also works to increase Sr. Team effectiveness and to bring in outside perspectives, best practices, and innovation to Children’s Wisconsin.

Juliya has over 23 years of healthcare experience in various leadership positions, including a decade working as a healthcare management consultant with top consulting firms, helping clients with strategic and financial planning, operational improvement initiatives, and technology solution implementations.

Juliya graduated from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor with a Biopsychology degree with high honors and continued her studies there to receive Master’s in Health Services Administration.

Juliya is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), the nation’s leading professional society for healthcare leaders. This distinction is awarded to healthcare leaders that have demonstrated a commitment to excellence in serving their patients and the community. She is also active in ACHE-WI chapter mentoring the next generation of healthcare executives as part of the Leadership Development Program. In 2024, she received the Diversity Equity and Inclusion Champion Award from the Regent for Wisconsin.

Juliya serves on the Board of Prevent Blindness Wisconsin. She is also a member of Professional Dimensions, the leading women’s professional association in the Milwaukee area whose mission is to unite women leaders in the relentless pursuit of better.”
