Richard Wilmot is a healthcare investor and growth executive with a long track record deploying capital across venture, growth equity, and corporate investing platforms. Most recently, he was a partner at Gilde HealthCare, a transatlantic growth stage medtech fund looking to expand into digital health. He founded and built Philips Ventures into the corporate venture arm of a ~$19B health-technology leader, securing a €100M+ early-stage digital health fund, and supported / managed a broader €950M venture and strategic investment program with a portfolio valued near $1.5B.

He has held board or observer roles across 20+ companies and led thesis-driven strategies such as a €100M–€120M image-guided-therapy investment platform that positioned Philips for future acquisitions. Prior to Philips, Richard served as a Principal at Partners Innovation Fund (Mass General Brigham), where he founded and funded seven companies, building a full-stack perspective from early formation through strategic exits. In addition to his career in venture, Richard’s career included investment banking stints at Deutsche Bank and Bank of America, and he was also an adjunct professor at Tufts University for several years teaching entrepreneurial finance.
